R U an astute person?

THE WORD FOR THE WEEK IS ASTUTE.
DEFINITION: Of keen penetration or discernment; quick, perceptive.
APPLICATION: The definition of the astute speaks directly to our ability to effectively manage our very own lives. How well we do this impact the quality of every component of our lives. As we are using the word today, the definition has reference to our awareness of the important things that influence our lives. We can become so busy with all of the details of our lives that we become oblivious to the very direction in which our lives are heading. An astute person develops the ability to keep a watchful eye on the significant things in his/her life, and to continually make wise decisions in order to advance on a regular basis. An astute person makes accurate, timely, and strategic decisions on a consistent basis in multiple areas of life. Consider these things:
· AN ASTUTE PERSON DEVELOPS THE MENTAL AGILITY TO HANDLE THE VOLUMES OF ACTIVITY WHICH IS FACED IN DAILY LIFE.
· AN ASTUTE PERSON LEARNS TO WEIGH IN ON IMPORTANT MATTERS IN LIFE AND COME TO CONCLUSIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
· THE ASTUTE PERSON DEVELOPS THE ABILITY TO HANDLE MULTIPLE ISSUES SIMULTANEOUSLY.
· AN ASTUTE PERSON FOLLOWS THROUGH ON LIFE DECISIONS UNTIL THEY ARE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY.
Because life can be very complicated, changes rapidly, and appears to be growing more intense - mastery of the use of the word astute is an invaluable project to undertake. Mastery of the definition of astute is a sure sign of growth, maturity, and wisdom in the practical things of life. Thanks for reading, and until next week......................
Good Success!!!
Roger

To my teacher Ms. Kemp( now Mrs. Gales)

My name is Asjah Fedrick,
and I am a sophomore in college at Florida Gulf Coast University, in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Ms. Kemp (Gales) was my First and Second grade teacher and I would just like to submit this letter of reference and speak on her abilities and what having her as a teacher meant to me:

Ms. Kemp was not only my teacher, but she was my confidant and also my second mom. I could look up to her and ask her for advice because my own mother has passed away. Ms. Kemp was there for me when I was going through a rough time in my life and could trust very few individuals.
While she was my teacher my Dad passed away and she aided me all the way through. I am a strong young lady because of her words of wisdom and encouragement.
She has taught me some lifelong lessons that I will always remember. For an example;
I have high expectations for young men now because of her and I don’t put up with the foolishness (as she would say).
I am currently majoring in biology, ultimately to become a pediatrician. My major is very hard, but she has taught me to fight for what I want in life and most importantly how to be independent.
She sees the potential that I sometimes cannot see in myself and constantly reminds me that I am destined for greatness. She always told me that God has placed me here for a special purpose and that He has given me something that no one here on earth can take away from me and that is my joy. Through all the hurt and pain I can still smile with a selfless and humble heart like her.
Ms. Kemp has always been my favorite teacher and I still remain to have a close relationship with her after all of these years. The reason I love and care for her so much is because she is first and foremost a woman of God,
she is a woman of her word,
she is honest (even if it’s something that I do not want to hear)
and she genuinely cares for so many people.
If Ms. Kemp had a dollar you would have 75cents.
She is just an overall example of a woman I hope one day to be. Nevertheless, she is a huge supporter in my life and whenever I may need something I can count on her.
I can depend on her and I can trust her with my whole life.
She is the only teacher thus far that I am close with and she will forever be in my heart; I love her.

If you have any questions you can contact me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Thank you and have a blessed day!

Let's talk about it.

Nearly half of the 19 million new STDs each year are among young people aged 15–24 years

I asked a group of 11-14 year old students what topic would they like to talk about,
"Sex" was there answer

If you and your child(middle-HS) are having trouble talking about sex, join me Friday night July 19th 7-9pm @ 5376 Silver Star Road, Kingdom Life Changers International Church, and let's talk about sex with our children together.
